Recruitment
Welcome to the first step of your journey toward becoming an active member of an IFC chapter here at San Diego State University. Recruitment is a mutually beneficial process through which members find a chapter to call home on campus, and our IFC chapter community becomes reinvigorated with new members who bring their own unique ideas and experiences. SDSU holds two primary recruitment periods, both in the Fall and in the Spring, but chapters are able to bid members outside of these periods, if desired.
Requirements to join an IFC Member Chapter
1. Complete IFC Recruitment Registration by August 31st at 11:59 PM.
(Note: Some Chapters have their own recruitment interest forms, often linked on social media pages. While some chapters may require them, they are in addition to, and do not replace, timely completion of IFC Recruitment Registration).
2. Complete Greek 101
Greek 101 serves as an educational records disclosure, allowing the Pierce Greek Life Center advisory team to check student academic and judicial eligibility. (Source: SDSU FSL)
3. Complete Greek 102: Fraternities
Greek 102 shares more detailed information about fraternity and sorority life at SDSU, including information about community values, membership expectations, university policies, health and safety, and other resources.
